Stealth 2018 Super Bowl Extravaganza!

As the dust settled on what was certainly the biggest and best Stealth Super Bowl Extravaganza to date, the Australian drilling industry also decided to come to the party with the few months following Super Bowl LII (52) showing a promising increase in activity. As a priority, Stealth put celebrations on standby to supply and support our clients with the second to none service all have come to expect. But now as things have steadied themselves somewhat, we cast our thoughts back to what truly was a great day in the South Australian Stealth Tools Hangar – 2018 SUPER BOWL LII: New England Patriots vs. Philadelphia Eagles.

With the New England Patriots yet again chasing glory, it was the underdogs, or should we say the under-Eagles, who clinched the win in an extremely entertaining and enjoyable game. With a mixed crowd of supporters on both sides, the final minutes were tense, loud and nerve racking for some (I myself had a whopping $10 on the Eagles) as the big smack talk of the day kicked into action. Another fantastic turnout to the Stealth Hanger saw the half time “throw-for-doh”, a replica Super Bowl ring raffle, and the generous gold coin donations, raise for the Royal Flying Doctor Service an impressive $443.60! Our thanks to Kristen from RFDS for coming down, drawing the raffle winner and being a part of the afternoon.

Taking the Super Bowl ring raffle out was Stealth’s freight forwarding champion, Damien Carslake of Custom Agency Services, who we hear wears the championship ring when he is brewing up his soon to be awarding winning home-brew. The half time “throw-for-doh” was a great success, with Stealth Hangar regular Mikey Lovegrove hitting the bucket, only to immediately donate his double or nothing bet back to the RFDS. Thanks to all who participated and gave over cash to support the fantastic cause of the Royal Flying Doctors, who in turn continue to support our industry with the most important of services.

So, with the margarita machine running close to empty, the fantastic catering by Oil Industry Catering all but gone, and the cold American Coors almost completely consumed, our guests departed full of cheer and laughter, after watching the game and entertainment on the generously supplied 7m screen provided by our street partners of Big Screen Video. Anticipation for next year’s party is already building, and if this years event is the benchmark, let’s all hope the industry continues to strive forward and grow back into to the good old days, which allows us to enjoy these events with the good spirit and happiness of success well deserved and shared.

If you find yourself in Adelaide on the first Monday of February next year (2019), be sure to drop us a line at 1800-STEALTH, or email us at stealth@stealthtools.net to request your invitation. It may be the only day of the year we change our colours to become “The Not-So Silent Force In Drilling”. Mark your calendars, pick your team and see you next year. Until then, the Hangar is open every last Friday of each month and from the entire Stealth Team, best of luck with your next TOUCHDOWN!
